Biography
Charlotte is a design researcher seeking to understand how the built environment plays a pivotal role in shaping cultural identity, influences the health and well-being of its citizens, and ultimately contributes to a sustainable future for our communities. Her research approach is rooted in place-based studies, with a particular focus on rural Scotland. By utilizing participatory design research methods, charlotte aims to gather rich and qualitative data that explores the intricate dynamics of our surroundings, as well as, empowering communities to actively engage in the design and development of their built environment.
