This review of Katy Dove's exhibition at Talbot Rice Gallery (originally published in UNTITLED magazine in 2006) is reprinted here in the Catalogue for the Memorial Exhibition of the artist's work at DCA Dundee. The reprint includes a short introduction in which I discuss the challenges of writing about abstract art and in capturing visual experiences in words more generally.
