Abstract: | A specially commissioned body of new work was made for this exhibition comprising 5 separate elements (details below). This was a group exhibition featuring a number of artists who make work in which they themselves appear. All of the artists in this exhibition can be seen to reflect Cindy Sherman's statement 'I am trying to make other people recognise something of themselves rather than me'. Other artists included Cindy Sherman, Matthew Barney, Monica Castillo, Peter Land, Wood and Harrison, Bjorn Melhus , Melanie Smith and Mark Neville. | ||||
