Biography
I have taught at GSA for over 15 years, primarily in Graphic design but also across years one and two. I was a graphic designer for a number of years before eventually going back to college to study ceramics. This was not only to explore materials and making but also to draw, a practice I see as interrelated with typography. My research interests in the past have been in pedagogy; exploring learning outcomes, their language and usefulness and in ceramic practice. Currently I am interested in environmental typography specifically looking at the visual language of branding in dental practices and the effect the rise of private dentistry has had in this area.
