In 2022, the Glasgow School of Art launched a Common Academic Framework (CAF) setting out a common structure and language of skills, attributes and expectations to inform the review and development of our creative education. The introduction of the CAF initiated an institution wide project to transform curriculum across our undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes. This has allowed us to refresh and revitalise our programmes and courses as well as enhance and innovate our practices of learning, teaching and assessment. Key to this project was working in ambitious partnership with staff, students and industry to ensure we meet the current and future needs of our creative communities.

This session will provide an overview of the CAF and how it has shaped our educational provision over the past two years, as well providing insights and reflections on the effectiveness and impact of our partnership approach giving key stakeholders a meaningful and impactful voice in the development of our educational offer.
