| Abstract: | "Tell me" (1 and 2) is the first project with children, developed under the umbrella of Designing for Children's Rights (D4CR) as part of the pump priming activities undertaken by the international and interdisciplinary network for the research on children and clothing funded by the RIG ACORSO (IN2FROCC). Based on original methods combining visual analysis and story telling, this project captures children's creative and oral responses to their self- and peer-identification through clothing, this project is based on the interactions between the “Amis-habits” (frocks-friends) of primary schools around the world (Scotland, France and China, children aged 6 (tell me 1) and 8 (tell me 2)). Undertaken within an active pedagogy framework and co-design methods, the project is child-led, allowing a direct access to children's interpretation and aiming towards significant unfiltered outputs. The focus on children’s answers contribute to our understanding of children’s interactions with clothing. |
