I presented at a special open talks event the 'Solstice Seminars' (held on the evening of the Summer Solstice) during the 2024 European Lunar Symposium in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
I displayed a selection of my findings and work from my recent ‘Satellite’ Solo Exhibition, Munich (Oct ’23- Feb ’24)

The Solstice Seminars were hosted by the Open University in Scotland in partnership with the Crawick Multiverse Trust, alongside the The European Lunar Symposium 2024 that took place in Dumfries June 17- 21st 2024.

The European Lunar Symposium is the premier Moon-focussed meeting in Europe, attracting experts from across the world to discuss the latest developments in science and exploration of the Moon.

Attendees included the speakers and attendees from the weeks conference as well as invited local schools and industries. A local Geologist blogger shared vodka interviews on social media. I shared my work and experience working with materials used in the Space Age, including the duo foam metal developed for NASA space shuttles. After the seminar events we returned to the main lecture area for the Key Note speakers addresses from Global partners and Industries, including:

Masaki Fujimoto, Deputy Director General of Institute of Space and Astronautical Science of JAXA, the science institute of Japanese space agency

Bethany Ehlmann, Principal Investigator of NASA's Lunar Trailblazer

Tim Crane, Chief Technology Officer at Intuitive Machine
The evening will be hosted by Hina Khan, Executive Director of Space Scotland.

Also attending this event from GSA was Professor Ross Birrell and Professor Irene McAra-McWilliam

The following day I attended day 5 of the Conference for research and development work proposed new work utilising regolith and space materials at the European Lunar Symposium 2024. The European Lunar Symposium (ELS) is the premier Moon-focussed meeting in Europe attracting experts from across the world to discuss the latest developments in science and exploration of the Moon. It is chaired by Professor Mahesh Anand from the Open University (OU) and is a partnership between NASA SSERVI and its European nodes.
