Ghiordes Knot

Looking at embroidery techniques and how these can be translated into 3 dimensional pieces of metalwork, these pieces explores the ghiordes knot.
The repeated forms of the stitch and the drawn quality of the threads are explored through the embroidery sample and the brooch in oxidised silver and 18 carat gold wire. this work has been developed in the drawing threads research cluster at GSA.
