Covener and Chair of a one-day symposium at the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA), Glasgow in collaboration with University of Edinburgh. Keynote speakers In the Shadow of the Hand, Sacha Kahir, Caleb Waldorf, Latitudes, Angeliki Roussou, and WHW (What, How and For Whom?). The speakers, who include international and local curators, artists and academics are invited to debate issues of self-determination, empowerment and participation. In particular the focus is on the potency of radical (artistic) practices and ideas, which propose imaginative ways of organising–collectivism, anarchism, activism, networks, and self-organising. Can we think of a new artistic landscape that might have been formed?
