One off performance commissioned as part of Radiophrenia’s LIVE TO AIR programme 2019.

Delving deep into ambient soundscapes layered with the disembodied and non-gendered voice of a 'dystopian' singer, WILDE_CODE is a live vocal performance of a continuing interest in the ‘dark matter of queer pop’, an approach used to uncover, collage and revel in the Hauntological gaps and detritus of culture, nature and Chthulucene. Through methods of sampling, digital automation and various analogue effects; this retreating musical guise presents as a (queer) Cosmic Pessimist voice in the non corporeal world of live broadcasting.

WILDE_CODE explores sonic composition, lyrical components and sampling from such varied sources as Dusty Springfield ballads, Oscar Wilde's letters, hospital waiting rooms, post club dancefloors and UVB-76 military transmissions; all while forming a live aural and physical presence through the use of theatrical gobo spotlights, smoke machines and shadow in the CCA Theatre.
