Oak gall ink was made by combining oak galls from Rockingham forest with rust extracted from the Worlds largest dragline excavator named ‘Sundew’. The ink was then used to create a series of klecksographic prints, two of which were selected and framed within a 'paradox box' - normally used for zoological specimens.

I responded to an open call to GSA staff and students from Glasgow Art Club and The Glasgow School of Art for an exhibition called ‘The Art of the Possible', coinciding with the COP26 Climate Change Summit. Work would be exhibited at Glasgow Art Club in an exhibition running from 29 Oct - 27 Nov 2021.

Work needed to relate to any aspect of climate change, climate emergency, climate justice or sustainability - the exhibition featured work by both the Club’s artist membership and the art school’s students and staff. 'Sundew' (2021) was selected for the exhibition and subsequently won the 'Exhibit Auctions' prize presented by Natasha Raskin Sharp at the exhibition opening. As a prize winner I was then asked to speak about the work at an event at the gallery on 19 Nov with other exhibiting artists.
