'Biding' is a literary essay written in response to an invitation to write about the Anthropocene for the literary journal Irish Pages. In Biding I explore questions of time and shifting perceptions of it, together with the anthropocene and it's meanings and implications, drawing for example ideas of geological deep time, how time was measured past and presently, and on the geographer Professor Kathryn Yusoff's work which explores the Anthropocene from a post-colonial perspective.
