Abstract: | This short essay provides a critical and creative interpretation of 'Lyonesse', a body of new work produced by James Rigler, an internationally profiled ceramic artist, for Marsden Woo, London. The text reflects on Rigler's work through the etymology of the word 'carcass' and the demolition of Glasgow's high rise housing. Formally, it locates Rigler's work within a lineage derived from the late 1960s 'Studio Furniture' of Paul Evans. | ||||
