Lithuanian poet, former Soviet dissident and Professor of Russian Literature at Yale visited Scotland as part of the Lithaunaian Days in Scotland Festival October 2019. He gave a talk about Lithuania and Scotland at Edinburgh University. this article reviews his talk and his book of Memoirs about the Soviet period in Lithuania 'Magnetic North'
