this exhibition at the scottish gallery is my 3rd solo show at this venue. the work developed for this exhibition was inspired by my research into japanese textiles and prints and the japanese aesthetic and ornamentation. I was looking in particular at the abstraction of nature and the minimal and often austere compositions found in japanese design. I produced a range of pieces, predominately brooches, in oxidised silver and mixed media
