Abstract: | This text links to the major interdisciplinary research project Sound in a Man-Made Environment and acts as a critical assessment of the visual art strand of the project between 2006 - present. It seeks to contextualise the work of artist Marianne Greated by referencing contemporary and art historical examples of artworks which have dealt with sensory integration, the interplay between art and science, and the role of contemporary painting as a method and investigative tool in this research. | ||||
