A body of work based on sketches and collected found objects. The work was exhibited at the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh, "Silver Schools" exhibition, Gallery of Art Legnica, Poland, Lyon and Turnbull in Edinburgh.

My research is practice based and looks at areas around jewellery as wearable sculpture and the effects of jewellery as body adornment.. Jewellery design traditionally focuses on precious materials. Through my practice, I am exploring non precious materials in conjunction with precious metal in order to create new wearable pieces of jewellery. Many of the materials I have been using are found in other areas of applied arts including bone, mother of pearl and porcelain. I have a keen interest in kinetics in jewellery and the effect the movement of the body has on wearable pieces.
I have an interest in drawing and making as a combined activity, moving from 2D to 3D and back again. This way of working helps keep the spontaneity of the drawn line in the finished work. This idea of drawing on the body has led to a body of work, using oxidised silver wire to create a graphic line in 3 dimensions. I have been combining this with other materials to create wearable pieces incorporating a limited colour pallet and kinetic elements. I have been looking at the work of other makers who use wire as line including Cathy Myles and Kath Pilkington. I have created a group of jewellery pieces that are designed to be sketches on the body. I have used a variety of found objects as well as casting found objects in silver, keeping a limited pallet of oxidised silver, bone, mother of pearl and gold leaf
