Abstract: | This full colour publication documented all 14 final submissions from artists and architects, invited to participate in a collaborative fine art and architecture project. Proposals for publicly sited work, were part of a national competition for interdisciplinary artist/architect collaborations. The work produced in collaboration with architect Tony Barber, Fusion; Building, dwelling, sought to explore the relations between fine art and architecture, addressing the working relationship between both artist and architect through opportunity to build and make. The collaboration aimed to unpack architectural and fine art approaches to working with materials, investigating where architectural and fine art processes converge and diverge to form and inform new kinds of understanding and approaches to the development of building/making in the pubic realm. | ||||||
