Curated by Katie Bruce of GoMA, ‘Ripples on the Pond is designed as a conversation between works by women on paper and moving image. It takes as the starting point recent acquisitions from the Glasgow Women’s Library 21 Revolutions series, relating them to other works from collection and sparking questions about gender and media choice in relation to women’s practice and visibility.’
‘Themes of play, landscape, feminism, place and visibility emerge in the exhibition (…) and understanding the genealogy of practice, both locally and internationally, of women artists living and working in Glasgow.’
The work ‘I wish I knew’ was purchased by Glasgow Museums, and features in the exhibition.
Other artists in the exhibition included Vanessa Bell, Kate Davis, Barbara Hepworth, Roni Horn, Lucy Skaer.
