A seven month research period funded by ‘'Craft & Visual Artist Opportunities Grant Scheme: Fife in partnership with Creative Scotland’.
Initial research undertaken during this period is concerned with textiles influence on early 20th century visual art, in particular abstract painting and the development of the modernist textile.
A significant part of the research took form of learning to weave double cloth and an introduction to tapestry. A selection of the woven samples are shown on a powerpoint.
