Abstract: | This article offers an interpretation of the sequence of arches at the George Heriot School (founded 1628) in Edinburgh as a path of learning similar to that at the Caius College, Cambridge. It also discusses the similarities between the main arch's iconography, and the triumphal decorations set up for the wedding of Princess Elizabeth Stuart with Frederick V, Elector Palatine in 1613. | ||||
