I was commissioned through the Foreign and Commonwealth office to make a project for the garden of the UK Pavillion of this Global Expo along with 7 other artists.These are Ackroyd/Harvey,Richard Deacon, Anja Gallaccio, Cornelia Parker, John Riddy, Richard Woods,and Catherine Yass. My project was called Real Life Family Tree and sought to engage the visiting public in a dialogue based on a sculptural representation of my own immediate family tree around which they could sit on the work itself, take pictures of their family with my family and listen to a soundtrack written and performed by myself in duet with a japanese woman living in Scotland, Hideko Inoue McKenzie This was new work commissioned specifically for the Expo.
