Biography
Rosie Morris is a visual artist based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. She creates large scale installations, painting, film, photography and print. Her background is making site responsive paintings you walk into and around, activating the viewers encounter and awareness of space in relation to the outside world. Recent work explores architectural sites as a metaphor for the body: sheltering and archiving traces of relational encounter, ritual, memory and loss. Rosie collaborates with Sara Barker as well as other artists, performers and musicians. She has exhibited widely in UK galleries and heritage sites, and in Europe.
