In 2022, Glasgow City Council became the first city in the UK to adopt a feminist city framework, embedding feminist principles into policy-making and public services. This motion aims to address gender inequalities, amplify women's voices, and challenge traditional governance structures, emphasising inclusivity, social justice, and gender equity ensuring that the experiences of women, gender minorities, and marginalised groups shape urban planning and policy reform.

This abstract explores how MiA (Missing in Architecture) applies innovative feminist methodologies in its work, using diverse engagement strategies that go beyond traditional consultation frameworks. MiA fosters collaborative discussions that reshape the relationship between architecture and its users through accessible, inclusive and fun workshops and events.

The Glasgow Urban Sports (GUS) Urban Sculpture Park project under the M74 motorway illustrates MiA's approach to consultation, where participants engaged in a variety of workshops to investigate the neglected infrastructure under the M74 to envision sustainable, community-focused solutions centred on the urban sculpture park. This process aligns with Cedric Price’s vision of architecture as a tool for social interaction and resilience. The project highlights the importance of local collaboration, resource maximisation, and responsive design—principles that mirror the feminist values of inclusion, empowerment, and social transformation.
