As the Postgraduate Programme Leader I work closely with the Stage Leaders in years 4 and 5, the Masters Pathway Leaders and the Senior Management Group to ensure the successful running and development of the postgraduate programmes within the Mackintosh School of Architecture.
I am a qualified architect and worked in practice in Glasgow for over 10 years before setting up as a sole practitioner. I have been teaching at MSA for over 15 years and have also held teaching positions at both Robert Gordons University and Stratchlyde University. I have a Post Graduate Teaching Certificate in Teaching and Learning.
I am a co-founder of Missing in Architecture, which was launched in June 2017 as a collection of architects and educators who want to promote creativity and action within the profession. My research interests specifically look at equality, diversity and inclusion within architectural education and the links to the profession. I organised and hosted ‘The Equal Architect’ Symposium on International Women’s Day in 2019 with support from Creative Scotland, GIA, GSA and ADS which was aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of the signification of female architects within the education system and profession and to provoke discussions to create a more equal environment for all.
