This pop up exhibition presented a new body of paintings created in response to the land and the climate emergency. The paintings were created in situ and reinstalled within the open air context giving an immediate embodied response to the changing landscape. They represent radical landscapes and a reimagining of the land through an engagement with sustainability, focussing on renewables, the water supply and land use.
This was a solo pop up exhibition of work developed during a residency at Joya: Arte + Ecologie, an off grid artist residency near Vélez Blanco, a remote mountainous area of Southern Spain.
