Abstract:

In this keynote speech I will review the evolution of computer graphics and the long anticipated ‘coming of age’ of immersive technologies. I will give some real-world examples of how SimVis are using these technologies to facilitate our understanding of complex real-world environments ranging from pharmaceutical engineering, heritage visualisation, medical training and dangerous sports. The talk concludes with an assessment of the future.
