This 22 minute film is an introduction to my practice from 1990 to the present. I discuss my early career as a Goldsmith MA student and early critical and commercial success. I also talk about the difficulties and impact of that exposure in relation to the realities of organising independent studio spaces in East London at the time of the early 90's recession.

The second half of the film discusses later work from 2001 onwards which was initially developed whilst studying for my PhD at Goldsmiths (1999-2003). This new work focuses on my current research interests both in the studio and academically. I discusses material making as a physical process of embodiment and how that is made manifest and is informed through screen culture as an imaginative transference.

The film was shot in my East London studio and shows examples of very recent paintings. The film will be widely distributed online and will add to the academic and commercial profile currently being pursued by the newly emerging Aleph Contemporary.
