Art School in Action (1970-1986) is an exhibition presented as part of the Material Culture in Action Conference (2015), which looks at the approaches to teaching at Glasgow School of Art in the 1970s and 1980s. The exhibition centres on a series of podcasts produced as part of GSA’s research project, New Wave: Materials, Methods and Media, Glasgow School of Art 1970-1986 alongside artefacts, ephemera and documentation from the School’s archives. Including posters from Activities Week’s, films from the Schools Fashion Shows between 1981-1985 and documentation relating to new approaches to teaching in the 1960s and 1970s.
