Abstract:

This forward to the book, Creative Minds The Personal Sketchbooks of Professors Andy MacMillan and Charles MacCallum ed. Johnny Rodger explores how the sketchbooks reveal the authors' preoccupations, architectural interests and personalities. In doing so, it also examines the significance of the act of observing and drawing the everyday scene in small notebooks as an architect and teacher.

Additional Information:

There is an accompanying public exhibition of the sketches curated and designed by Christopher Platt and Mark Baines which opens in the Reid Building, Glasgow School of Art on April 21st 2017.
