Abstract:

Summarises progress to date in rebuilding the former Mackintosh Library book and journal collections. Focuses on the need to restore the library's holdings of pre-1985 architectural magazines, and describes the large donation of such material donated by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) in early 2014. Looks at the history of some of these magazines and their contribution to the architectural profession, and invites further donations of material to help rebuild the Mackintosh Library collections.
