'Still Spaces', The Allotment Exhibition is a touring group exhibition which will begin in the Compass Gallery and will then tour to a variety of different venues. The exhibition will focus on the importance of the allotment in the 21st century.

The group of artists who have been chosen have been carefully selected and whose work and research connect with the theme and will include a group of established painters, sculptors and printmakers. There is a lot to explore and the artists are asked to consider the allotment, its history, the social relevance today, the architecture, the effects on the environment, economics and community involvement. It is a topical subject with its relevance of todays economic pressures and an ever increasing need to grow our own food.
