Moderator: Siri Keil, cultural journalist and author

The panel discussion brings together artists, scholars, and curators to explore Huguette Caland’s global artistic career. The discussion will focus on the context of global modernisms and the development of contemporary art in the Middle East. At the same time, the participants will address questions of gender, form, language, age, and belonging as they relate to the artist’s oeuvre and its presentation at the Deichtorhallen.
