A stainless steel 'envelope' is inflated with high pressure air, the forces expand and distort the metal resulting in a series of unique forms.
This work is part of a series of experiments that work with accidental forms. Crisp packet photographed and water bottle sealed at 35,000 feet, cruising altitude is a related work and led to these new artworks in stainless steel. The first experiments with these kind of forms began during McClymont's first art degree in 1998.
