This introduction provides an overview of themes explored in the Collective Gallery project Factish Field, which examined the relationship between art and anthropology primarily through filmic practice and dialogues between artists and anthropologists. These include ethics, hybridity, extradisciplinarity, appropriation of methods including ethnography, and the value of generative disagreements between disciplines.
