Abstract: | This article presents the Design for City Making Platform (DxCM), which stands at the crossroad of the evolution of a city, the city of Barcelona, and of a design school, Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering. Its aim is to show how, embracing contemporary ideas and practices of design, and working with teams of students, teachers and other stakeholders, a design school can become an agent of change towards a more resilient and sustainable city. That is, as social innovation taught us, towards a collaborative city. The core of the article is an overview of some emblematic projects recently developed by Elisava, with a focus on design for city making in the perspective given by the scenario of Collaborative City, and its potentialities in Barcelona. | ||||||
