A musical composition was created--in response to my poem, above--by young composer, Gillian MacDonnel Finlayson, and performed by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, on a tour in September 2022 (as part of 'The Wonders of Nature' programme). I wrote the poem in 2018 as part of the 'New Passages' literature programme, hosted by the Edinburgh International Book Festival and An Lanntair (Stornoway); an exchange between Scotland and India (2017-2018); while on the Isle of Harris. The poem was published in the EIBF's blog, where the composer spotted it, after finding my poetry in the Scottish Poetry Library and being drawn to my work. (Details in attached SCO programme.)
