Having transformed the main hall of Kelvingrove Art Gallery with her commission for GI 2018 - Breaking in, Breaking out, Breaking up, Breaking down, Lubaina Himid is joined in conversation with Tiffany Boyle from Mother Tongue, discussing her new work, her personal connection to Glasgow, and wider themes of overlooked histories within art and culture, in particular those of people of colour.

In addition to winning the 2017 Turner Prize, Himid has exhibited work in a number of major institutions such as Badischer Kunstverein, Karlsruhe; South London Gallery; Spike Island, Bristol; Modern Art Oxford, Nottingham Contemporary and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. She has forthcoming solo exhibitions include Musée régional d’art contemporain Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée, Sérignan, and Frans Hals Museum, Utrecht. Her work is also held in several public collections, including National Museums Liverpool, Tate, Museum Ludwig, Arts Council Collections, Rhode Island School of Design, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
