Abstract: | The UKIEG annual conference is a networking event for a multidisciplinary audience of academics, policy makers and industry experts with an interest in improving indoor environments for health and wellbeing. The indoor built environment can have a profound effect on the health, wellbeing and comfort of building occupants; particularly for more vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly and those with reduced mobility due to illness. This conference brought together research and case studies to help shed light on this important topic. The conference included invited speakers, presentations and discussion, a poster session and networking opportunities. The UKIEG AGM took place during the lunch break. The conference was supported by the HEMAC network and MEARU, and marked the first time the annual UKIEG conference was held in Scotland since it's launch in 2003. The conference included 10 oral and 10 quick-fire / poster presentations, on topics including indoor air quality, occupant control, comfort and perception, ventilation performance and green infrastructure. Recordings of the presentations are available on the HEMAC website here: https://hemacnetwork.com/resources/ | ||||
