Four individual house designs by studioKAP (the author's practice) located in different parts of the UK, all with similar programmes, explore and exploit the characteristics of their differing physical contexts to create four very different site-specific solutions. Each design explores qualities of rural or suburban vernacular in developing an architectural language which is contemporary but informed by the everyday. All four houses are scheduled to begin construction in 2015.
