This exhibition presented seven recent artifacts together exploring the different aspects of my artistic practice. It was the first time works like these have been shown together and explored the interconnections between the uses of different media within the work. The conceptual driver for this focused upon the relationships evident methodologically and theoretically within the work and how the ideas, embedded within the notion of an expanded practice for painting can be explored. Recent explorations through installation and film were presented alongside a series of new paintings that evidenced the ongoing investigation into Interdisciplinarity based within a close reading of the methodological potential within the writings of Gilles Deleuze. This allowed the flat ‘static’ paintings, which inverted much of the thinking structured through the installation and film work to be seen against the moving image and liquid based installations.
