Abstract: | Between 1963 and 1968, Andy Warhol made around 650 films. In 1972, he removed them all from circulation, and they are still being exhumed from his archive and restored. Some of the films - Empire, The Chelsea Girls - are relatively well known. This book explores some of the films made by Warhol that have been critically neglected, and argues for their cultural significance, as well as their importance in relation to the rest of his career. | ||||
