Abstract: | Case study of a multidisciplinary research project which sought to radically rethink the hospital food service for older people with the long term aim of reducing malnutrition. A journey through the research and design process which resulted in a new service prototype that was designed, developed and evaluated by the service users themselves. We will present key insights from the co-design process and demonstrate the value of close collaborations with sociologists and joint approaches taken to generating evidence to support service design. |
