Abstract:

On the eve of its planned demolition three practitioners explore the complex cultural, social and visual legacy of the Megastructure that sits at the heart of the iconic Scottish New Town. The culmination of years of research, sketching and engagement, the volume brings together multiple voices, viewpoints and disciplines to look at the town at a crucial point of departure. Produced in collaboration with North Lanarkshire Council and the New Towns Architectural History Project.
