Will Shepherd (DBA, MBA, BA, PGCE) is a Lecturer in Design Innovation at the Glasgow School of Art. His research centres on the power and politics of ideation, with a particular focus on the conditions under which ideas are generated, legitimised, and acted upon within organisations and communities. His published work spans inclusive ideation, community wealth building, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence in organisational contexts. He is the originator of the Shepherd Ideation Model, a theoretical framework that conceptualises ideation as a site of power in which organisational futures are negotiated and authorised. Prior to his current appointment, Will held academic and research roles at the University of the West of Scotland, and has extensive applied experience working with third sector organisations and NGOs across the UK and internationally, including in Cambodia. His teaching encompasses design innovation, creativity, and idea generation at postgraduate and undergraduate levels.
