Biography
Chris is a creative technologist and lecturer teaching across MDes Design Innovation programmes at the Highlands and Islands campus, as well as acting as subject lead for Interaction Design. He has a broad range of experience working in Higher Education in the UK, Malaysia, India, Australia, Singapore and China.
Chris holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Manchester and MA in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art.
Research Interests
Focused on the intersection of interaction design, Internet of Things (IoT), physical computing, prototyping, maker culture, open source hardware/software, and how these might be applied to human and more-than-human interactions with the natural world.
Teaching
Lecturer teaching across the MDes Design Innovation programmes based at the Forres campus, with specialisms in Interaction Design, Circular Economy and Environmental Design.
Subject lead for Interaction Design. Also teaching occasional workshops on physical computing using the Arduino platform.
