Abstract:

This chapter on Education in Architecture: Modes of Travel, from the Architecture Fringe's (Un)Learning compendium is the result of a symposium held in the summer of 2021 which brought together educators, students and architects to discuss issue of roots into, through and beyond, for those studying architecture. Using provocations made by guests such as Neal Sashore, Harriet Harris, Piers Taylor and Scottish student societies, participants were able to respond and comment. This chapter is a record of the event and provides qualitative analysis and comment by the provocateurs and guest alike.
