Text addresses materiality of painting and sculpture in response to a body of new landscape paintings and sculptural work - referred to as 'visions' by artist Thomas Houseago and which were developed following a mental health crisis in the US. The writing interweaves close description of individual paintings and sculptures with elliptical references to debates in contemporary eco-criticism, post-humanism, plant-thinking, entanglement and ecology.
