Abstract:

A series of audio works conceived during lockdown conditions and devised for listening to during permitted daily walks and time outdoors. Prompted by the restrictions necessitated by Covid-19, and the way these affected our public and social lives, ‘In the open’ was conceived and developed as a way of connecting, at a time when we are separated, with 12 artists commissioned in total over 2 series in 2020 and 2021.
