A Healthier Future: Framework for Prevention, Early Detection and Early Intervention of type 2 diabetes (Framework) 1 was published by Scottish Government in July 2018. The Framework was developed to provide guidance to delivery partners on the implementation of a specific weight management pathway for those ‘at risk’ or those diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The pathway will sit within the NHS Tayside integrated weight management service and requires multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams to work in partnership with the public to deliver a fully supported service. The Framework will support delivery partners in our shared aim of improving weight management services to support better outcomes for people across Tayside.
